The StayPut app

StayPut collects no data. The app never connects to the internet. Its settings stay on your Mac, and the motion and lid sensors are only read on your Mac to decide whether to show a warning or sound the alarm. Nothing is sent anywhere.

This website

getstayput.app is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver the site and keep it secure, Vercel processes technical request data such as your IP address in short-lived server logs.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see how many people visit and how fast the site loads. They use no cookies and store no personal data. Visitors are counted with a hash that changes every day, so you can’t be recognized across days or other websites. What we see is aggregated:

• pages viewed and the page that referred you
• country, browser, operating system and device type
• loading-speed measurements

GitHub

The download itself comes from GitHub, and the website asks the GitHub API for the newest version number. Those requests go from your browser to GitHub. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
